Biography

Anil sood was born on 31st January 1979. He was the Associate Professor & Faculty-in-Charge training & Quality, Indian Institute of Health Management & Research, Bangalore, Director & Consultant Orthopaedician, Dr. Sood’s Orthopaedic & Obstetric Clinic, Salarpuria Greenage city, Bommanahalli, Bangalore & Consultant InCharge Orthopaedics Department Prashanth Hospital & Levine Group of Hospitals.Conducted 2 National Polio Immunization rounds and 11 Migratory rounds of polio as WHO External Monitor. Participated in data collection, analysis, and compilation of Injury cases in the “International Road Safety in 10 Countries Project”- joint venture of WHO and John Hopkins University. Helped in Conducting 2 training sessions for medical officers under RTI/STI training.Participated in all departmental activities. Actively participated in teaching at various levels which includes undergraduate theory and practical classes. Presented regular seminars, journal clubs and scrap book as a part of postgraduate learning. Assisted 50 Total Knee replacements and 20 total hip replacement Assisted 30 ACL reconstructions and 20 shoulder arthroscopy. Regularly handling 50 bedded Advanced Orthopaedic surgery center exclusively “Abrol Ortho Centre” under guidance of Dr. Ajay Abrol. Actively learning arthroscopy from AIIMS, New Delhi especially in Cadaver trainings. April 2016 Hosted the Punjab IAPSM chapter at SGRD, Amritsar on 17.4.16 Organizing chairperson of 1st International workshop for upskilling of Orthopaedicians in Bangalore attended by 150 participants & 55 faculty members from 7 countries and 27 states spread over 4 days on 25-28th January 2018. Faculty-in-Charge training & Quality, IIHMR Bangalore since October 2017 till date.

Complex Fractures and Polytrauma, Arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgeries of the Shoulder & Knee, Joint Replacement Surgery of Shoulder, Knee & Hip, Neglected and Failed Fractures.
